Keynote: Rushton Hurley
Rushton Hurley is an educator who believes this is a great time to teach. In his work, he has taught Japanese language, been principal of an online school, directed a professional development program, and succeeded as a social benefit entrepreneur. He loves creativity, collaborative innovation, and laughing at himself.

Rushton founded and is executive director of the educational nonprofit Next Vista for Learning, which houses a free library of hundreds of short videos by and for teachers and students at Additionally, he is the Global Project Lead for the Krause Center for Innovation. His graduate research at Stanford University included using speech recognition technology with beginning students of Japanese in computer-based role-playing scenarios for developing language skills. In the 1990's his work with teenagers at a high school in California led him to begin using internet and video technologies to make learning more active, helping him reach students who had struggled under more traditional approaches.

Rushton has trained teachers around the world, and regularly presents at national and international conferences. His fun and thoughtful talks center on the connection between engaging learning and useful, affordable technology, as well as professional perspectives of teachers.

Keynote: Holly Clark
Holly Clark is a technology and innovation specialist from San Diego, California. She is a Google Certified Teacher, National Board Certified Teacher, and holds an MA in Technology in Education from Columbia University. She has been working with technology integration and 1:1 environments since 2003. Presently she consults with schools internationally on improving their iPad integration and using Google Apps for Education to empower learning.

Keynote: Kevin Brookhouser
Kevin Brookhouser, M.Ed. teaches digital citizenship and computer science at York School in Monterey, California. He is a Google Certified Teacher, authorized Google Education Trainer, National Association of Independent Schools Teacher of the Future, Common Sense Media Certified Trainer, Microsoft Innovative Educator, and University of California Certified Integrated Course Developer. Kevin provides relevant, hands-on training and engaging keynotes in educational technology to teachers and administrators with a focus on transforming the classroom to be more student-centered, collaborative, and project oriented. He believes that teachers can enable students to meet learning goals by becoming real-world problem solvers and content creators rather than mere consumers of curricula. According to his dog, he is slightly below average at throwing the tennis ball.

Michelle Armstrong, Rundle College Jr Sr High

A 15 year veteran at Rundle College Jr Sr High School in Calgary, Michelle currently serves as the Head of Educational Technology and is experiencing first-hand how Google Apps and collaboration are changing the face of education. Enamoured by the power of Google, Michelle became an Authorized Google Education Trainer in March 2013, and then became a Google Certified Teacher in July 2014. These certification have resulted in an explosion of her Professional Learning Network and given Michelle the opportunity to travel throughout North America providing coaching, training, and curriculum integration strategies for other educators embarking on their own journey into the Google Apps environment.

Tim Lee

Tim Lee is the Chief Technology Officer of the EdTechTeam and founder of Amplified IT. After 8 years of leading infrastructure re-design projects and rollouts, Tim shifted his focus to Google Apps in 2009. Tim applies his background in Technology infrastructure, deployment planning and leadership to assist schools and districts in re-designing their infrastructure and successfully move to the cloud. As one of the first Google Apps Edu Certified Trainers and Google ChromeBook Crew for Education, Tim has assisted numerous schools to adopt Google Apps and rollout Chromebooks and is ‘affectionately’ known as GAFE Yoda in the EdTechTeam circles..

is an education-focused Google Apps consultancy with a unique approach that focuses on empowering
